Introducing Aromatherapy & the art of Essential Oil Blending (1.5-day programme)
‘Introducing Aromatherapy & the Art of Essential Oil Blending’
This workshop is ideal for anyone with an interest in using essential oils for personal and home use.
Day 1 begins with an overview of Ancient Aromatics to Modern Day Aromatherapy. And is followed by a closer look at what essential oils are, how they are extracted and how to store & use them safely. Participants will work closely with the plant material & botanical products.
Day 2 is a half-day introduction to the art of essential oil blending. Participants will learn to develop their ‘odour memory’ through aromatic plant material, discovering their unique aromas and experiencing their effects. Simple blending techniques & practical tips will be covered including an introduction to the concept of essential oil synergy.
Over the 1.5-day programme, profiles of 6-essential oils will be covered. Several practical sessions will introduce basic methods of aromatic inhalation & skin application.
Comprehensive notes will be provided. Participants will make a personalised blend to take home.
The Aromary is set among 7-acres of natural bush & gardens with beautiful ponds, streams and waterfalls. A tranquil environment for aromatic study.
